Recap a little, as to what this post is about. You can see similar images from my May post.
I am one of those people that takes a ton of pictures, chooses the best ones, edits, crops, and then post only the best. Well, I thought it would be fun to start sharing some ‘behind the scenes photos’. I will do my best to not post photos that my twins will hate me later in life for or show quite more of me than people want to see, but be prepared to see a little too much. If you don’t want to see breastfeeding (not covered up, ever), my belly hanging out, and stretch marks then this is not the blog for you.
Twin life is an exhausting, beautiful, overwhelming, magical mess that I love everyday. I will try to show pictures that capture every part, from mess to happiness!
I wanted these posts to show my real, messy life, but June was a little different. It was my birthday (yay!) and we had several visitors. First, we had my great uncle and great aunt come to visit and then my husband’s brother. Between everyone visiting, I did my best to have the apartment, babies, and myself looking decent. It was rough. I know it should be relaxing to have company and help with the babies, but it can also be pretty stressful.
Here is my collection of behind the scenes from June, 2017!
What do you do when you are alone with two crying babies? Well, I decided to pick them both up… and Aella proceeded to spit up all over her sister.. Then, what do you do with two babies, that you are holding, covered in spit up? Well, I guess you change them both at the same time. *Not the safest idea though.*
I live in nursing tank tops. Half the time I don’t even snap the shirt back, since I seem to always be feeding one. It’s a little tricky to try and look normal, when you husband is saying, “Oh, let me take a picture.” Hungry baby and hungry mama. Random baby socks on the railing?
I still have quite figured out how to get both babies to sleep and get work done. Lately, it seems they are always sleeping on top of me! I am definitely not using the Moby wrap very well here. I had them both in the wrap, one on either side, until one wanted out and then this awkward sleeping arrangement was the result. Got a little work done though!
Of course, I have to end with some happy moments! The babies are both full of smiles, now both rolling from their belly to their backs!
